Garden Egg (Nyaadewa) Seed

from $5.00

This African Eggplant is adored from the West to the East of the Continent. We originally came across this variety for a trial featuring a diversity of eggplants from Africa and South Asia, with this garden egg being a huge hit among our Ghanaian, Nigerian, and Rwandan market goers. We got this variety from True Love Seed who in turn got it from Janine Ndagijimana. Janine grows acres of this eggplant in Vermont and ships thousands of pounds to families across the states - goals! We find this eggplant to be is easier to grow and more productive than its Italian cousins but the taste is quite different, so be warned - know what you’re getting into before you grow this beautiful plant.
